2010–2011 Concert Season, Celebrating Our 37th Year
This year, CCSB will celebrate its 11th season under the direction of Dr. Harry Moon. Dr. Moon's direction and guidance has been instrumental in the growth of the chorus, both in singers and audiences; and the musical and organizational success of the group.
The Community Chorus at South Berwick has two sessions each year, one in the Winter and one in the Spring. The Winter performance is traditionally holiday oriented, while the theme of the Spring performance varies. Please consider joining us for a performance. The dates, times, and locations are given below.
CCSB's upcoming December concert will be on the "Christmas Garland" tradition, ushering in the holiday season. With the theme Christmas with Friends and Family of J.S. Bach the program will feature works by Bach, as well as his sons, and famous composer friends; as well as music based carols and other seasonal themes, including chamber singers . The chorus will perform with a full chamber orchestra, adding to the richness of the performance. Concerts will be in Newington (Holy Trinity Lutheran Church) on Saturday December 4, and the Wes Kennedy Performing Arts Center at Marshwood High School in South Berwick on Sunday December 5, 2010.
