2011–2012 Concert Season, Celebrating Our 38th Year

This year, CCSB will celebrate its 12th season under the direction of Dr. Harry Moon. Dr. Moon's direction and guidance has been instrumental in the growth of the chorus, both in singers and audiences; and the musical and organizational success of the group.

The Community Chorus at South Berwick has two sessions each year, one in the Winter (December) and one in the Spring. The Winter performance is traditionally holiday oriented, while the theme of the Spring performance varies. Please consider joining us for a performance. The dates, times, and locations are given below.

CCSB's December, 2011 concert was in the Christmas Garland tradition, titled ‘Laud to the Nativity’, featuring choral music inspired by Italian themes and accompanied by a full woodwind ensemble. The concert included Italian works from the Renaissance to the present, including the Respighi’s wonderful '"Laud to the Nativity" and works by Rossini, Dello Joio, and others. It also included seasonal works based on carols with instrumentalists.
